We are in LOVE with our clients tropical bottle wedding invitations for their wedding in beautiful Port Vila, Vanuatu. The first photo shown is our shop photo and the second is their actual order being worked on. Oh so tropical chic!

Our recent clients, Sarah and Steve, customized the bottle invitation with my plumeria watercolor art and light strawberry pink ink. Beautiful parchment paper with burnt edging James handcrafts in our studio. Each invitation is scrolled then inserted into the bottle. Each bottle invitation comes with a cork. Sarah and Steve upgraded their design to feature the handmade seashell necklace. The necklace arrive separate ready for them to wrap and hand tied then send out to each guest.

I recently featured Erin and Anthony’s destination wedding in Mexico. Today I am sharing their custom watercolor invitation suite.

They wanted wedding invitations that were custom and unique. An invitation that would set the tone for their entire event. Art was hand painted in watercolor: brush lettering, pink lace, flowers, and more! The entire invitation card was hand sparkled with fine silver glitter.

This is a perfect example of a romantic wedding invitation suite that is harmonious and creative.

It is a NEW year, so the most popular question is: How do I write out 2015?

There are so many modern ways to layout invitation text today. Now trending, classic wedding invitation text that is timeless.

Tips on how to write out “two thousand fifteen”

1. Leave out the word “and” it represents a decimal. two thousand fifteen

2. The only time you want to capitalize the letters is when using ALL CAPS.

3. If your wedding is formal, we suggest writing out 2015 like so, two thousand fifteen.

4. If your wedding is casual or you are hosting a shower or dinner party, you can use the numbers 2015 and forgo writing the year out.

5. If using a block or script font that is not all caps, keep two thousand fifteen all lowercase.

Why did you choose the venue/location you did?

Our recent wedding ceremony and reception at the One&Only Palmilla Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico was truly magical. From the horse-drawn carriage ride, to the beautiful chapel with its white-washed stone façade and of course, the intimate outdoor reception under the swaying palms, it was all a dream come true.

The setting itself could not have been more stunning. Having been to Mexico before, we both knew the resort presented itself as the ideal place for just what we wanted: an intimate ceremony in a church, a private outdoor reception for our family and enough room to dance to the sounds of a traditional band.

Why did you choose the invitations you did?

We knew we wanted invitations that were custom and unique for our wedding. The invitation is what truly sets the tone for the entire event, and we wanted something that all of our guests would want to save and cherish. Given that lace was the theme of our wedding it was easy for us to use that as a starting point! We also adored all of your hand-painted flowers, so mixture of both aspects was the perfect combination. The soft sprinkling of glitter on each and every one, added just the right amount of sparkle!

Were personal touches important to your wedding day?

The entire day truly was picture perfect. From the sounds of the harpist, to seeing the glow of the lights strung across the terrace where we dined, up until the wish lantern send off on the edge of the Sea of Cortez, we both felt lucky to have shared such special experiences with those who meant the most to us.
