Thirteen years ago I started My Personal Artist so I could be a stay-at-home-mom with our son. I was the only artist online creating actual hand painted invitations and hand drawn illustrations for custom wedding invitations, stationery, and greeting cards. I could not have done it without James, my right hand man and husband of 19 years! He is a rockstar. And we could not have done it without our AMAZING and LOYAL friends and fans. Today, I just adore these romantic DIY Rustic Chic Printed Candles from Sparkle & Hay.

OH MY! That’s what I said when my artist eyes discovered this fabulous floral find! During my lunch break today I stumbled across this breathtaking rose photo on Decor8 blog. L – O – V – E! Love, Love, … LOVE!

As you may already know, I am totally obsessed with flowers and have been drawing them since age 6.

In my spare time I am constantly adding new hand painted  flower wedding invitations designs to my collection!

Today I finished up Theia’s custom save the date cards with a men’s shoe and women’s high heel.

After studying the shoes Theia loves for a bit, I hand drew them in pencil.

Next, I transfer my drawing in a clean manner to watercolor paper and then I paint. Shown below, the final art on buttercream 110lb save the date cards complete with a hand tied bow.

Woweee! That is exactly what I thought when I laid my eyes on this photo. How inspiring! This blue anemone flower is so vibrant and beautiful. I just want to grab a HUGE canvas and start painting all of the gorgeous details this flower has to offer. Look at the curves and lines. The center grabs your attention. So powerful yet delicate at the same time.

Happy April to you! Living in Ohio we see white, white, white, green, white, green, … through March. Today I am seeing snow melting and the green grass popping through in spots! Spring is here in this lakeside town.
